I come from a family with a long and successful history in the arts including, Oscar winner, Arthur Wimperis ( writer) , Architects ,Artists  and even a  President of The British Watercolour Society.   I continue the family tradition, as a successful artist and  an illustrator of children’s books.

I started my career after graduating in the UK with a degree in Fine Art, at the time specialising in sculpture. I went on to work for various organisations within the art world. Painting and illustrating for BBC children’s television, The National Trust, a wildlife and conservation organisation  even city councils as well as the private sector.

I then began a period of international travel, living, working and exhibiting in Israel, China, Europe and ending up in Norway where I became Head of the Art Department at the International School of Stavanger.

With my family of five children I returned to the UK where I started my own art and design company completing larger public works, murals and many smaller design projects.

Throughout this time I continued to develop my illustration career and became a BBC Blast featured artist. I have also been a featured artist in magazines and publications as far afield as Japan.

I continue to  work as an artist and illustrator and have relocated to Brittany in northern France where the special mixture of light, ancient history, architecture and tradition provides me with a rich source of inspiration on a daily basis.
